Usage

• 了 (le) is one of the most important particles in Chinese.
• At HSK 1, master its two core positions:
• 1.
• VERB + 了 (completion of an action): Subject + Verb + 了 + (Object).
• Examples: 他买了一本书 (He bought a book), 我看了那个电影 (I watched that movie).
• 2.

Examples

   我吃了。

   Wǒ chī le.

   I have eaten.

   他买了一本书。

   Tā mǎi le yì běn shū.

   He bought a book.
