• 把 + A + 作为 + B

Usage

• (1) A preposition introducing someone“s role or something”s nature, often at the start of the sentence (作为老师，……); (2) a verb meaning “take A as B” (把……作为……).

Examples

   作为一名大作家，鲁迅对吃也很讲究。

   Zuòwéi yì míng dà zuòjiā, Lǔ Xùn duì chī yě hěn jiǎngjiu.

   As a great writer, Lu Xun was also very particular about food.

   我们把这件小礼物作为纪念送给你。

   Wǒmen bǎ zhè jiàn xiǎo lǐwù zuòwéi jìniàn sòng gěi nǐ.

   We're giving you this little gift as a souvenir.
