Adjective Predicate Sentence (Adjectives as Predicates)

Pattern

• Subject + 很 + Adjective (Affirmative)
• Subject + 不 + Adjective (Negative)

Usage

• Adjectives directly serve as the predicate to describe the subject's qualities.
• In affirmative sentences, the adverb 很 is usually added before the adjective as a structural link (not always translated literally as 'very').
• The negative form uses 不.

   Nǐ de Hànyǔ hěn hǎo.
