Pattern

"把 + N + 一 + V" is a vivid HSK 6 variant of the 把-construction used to depict a swift, decisive, and visually striking action that immediately leads to a subsequent action or result:
(1) Here "一" is not the number one, but an adverb indicating a brisk, single-stroke action ("with one quick motion / once").
(2) The verb V must be a monosyllabic action verb such as 翻 (flip), 推 (push), 拉 (pull), 挥 (wave), 甩 (toss/flick), 扔 (throw), 拍 (slap)

•Adding 了 after V (e.g., *把书一翻了): destroys the brisk immediacy of the pattern.

•Ending the sentence right after "把 + N + 一 + V" without a follow-up clause: leaves the sentence hanging.
