Pattern

• Subject (plural / collective) + 都 + Verb / Adjective

Usage

• Indicates that the statement applies to all items/people previously mentioned.
• Must always be placed BEFORE the verb or predicate adjective.

Examples

1. 1

   他们都喜欢看电视。

   Tāmen dōu xǐhuan kàn diànshì.

   They both/all like watching TV.

2. 2

   我们都是坐出租车来的。

   Wǒmen dōu shì zuò chūzūchē lái de.

   All of us came by taxi.
