Expresses an action currently in progress (progressive aspect). '正在', '正', '在' can be used before the verb, and modal particle '呢' can be attached at the end.
Negative form of progressive aspect. Place '没有' (or '没') directly before the verb. '正在' and final '呢' must be dropped.
Used before two verbs to indicate that two actions are carried out simultaneously ('while doing A, doing B').
Functions as a pronoun/attributive meaning 'some... others...'. Used to enumerate different subsets within a group.
Combining personal pronouns or names with '这儿' (near) or '那儿' (distant) turns people into place references ('at his place / to him').
The progressive aspect is not limited to the present; combined with '可能' and future time expressions, it hypothesizes an ongoing action in the future.
