你好吗

Pattern 1

你好吗？ —— 我很好，你呢？

Nǐ hǎo ma? —— Wǒ hěn hǎo, nǐ ne?
Meaning:How are you? —— I'm very well, and you?

Essential question to ask about well-being between acquaintances, and bouncing the question back with '你呢'.

Pattern 2

我也很好。

Wǒ yě hěn hǎo.
Meaning:I am also very well.

Using adverb 也 (also/too) before adjectives or verbs: Subject + 也 + Predicate.

Pattern 3

他们也都很好。

Tāmen yě dōu hěn hǎo.
Meaning:They are all very well too.

When combining 也 and 都, 也 always precedes 都: Subject + 也 + 都 + Predicate.

Pattern 4

你忙吗？ —— 我不忙。

Nǐ máng ma? —— Wǒ bù máng.
Meaning:Are you busy? —— I'm not busy.

Yes/No question with 吗 and negative response with 不 (bù).
